The Florida Wild Orchids Calendars
What better way is there to show your love for Florida's orchids than with one of these handsome calendars?
Florida's wild orchid calendars feature twelve photographs each of wild orchids from the state of Florida. Taken by award winning photographer and lecturer, Prem Subrahmanyam, the proceeds from these calendars help with upkeep on this site as well as funding continuing efforts to find and photograph some of Florida's rarest and most beautiful plant species.
Our distributor, Cafe Press, now offers a way to customize the start month of your calendar, allowing you to purchase calendars year-round. We have also updated the cover page without a specific year reference, making these calendars perennially available.
First, we are offering the "Peninsular Orchids of Florida" Calendar, featuring the rare and elusive Ghost Orchid, along with 11 other beauties native or naturalized within the Florida peninsula.
Next, we feature the "Florida Wild Orchids" Calendar, featuring six new orchids not included in the original "Florida's Native Orchids" calendar (originally released for 2005).
Finally, we are offering a reprise of the original "Florida's Native Orchids" Calendar. A perennial favorite among orchid enthusiasts.
Each calendar features original high-quality photos of 12 of Florida's orchids, and is intended not only to entertain but to educate with detailed information about these orchids: including information about habitat, range, blooming times and other useful information. Printed on high-gloss 100 lb paper, these handsome calendars measure 11 by 17 inches when hanging.
Here is an example of the detailed information included on every page of each calendar:
